Phillip Scriven Memorial scholarship
The Phillip Scriven Memorial Scholarship, created by his family to honor his legacy, supports students from Benalla and nearby areas, recognizing their unique talents and contributions at FCJ College Benalla.
Phillip Scriven was many things, he was a passionate farmer, mechanic and someone who loved hands on tasks.
Phil belonged to the local theatre company and was an advocate for the arts, he was an avid musician who played the guitar, banjo and drums but his favourite instrument to play was the bagpipes.
Of all Phillips achievements his kindness and generosity were his outstanding features.

The Phillip Scriven Memorial Scholarships at FCJ College Benalla are designed to support students from Benalla and surrounding districts, celebrating their unique talents and contributions. These scholarships are open to all students, regardless of financial background, who demonstrate a well-rounded approach to school life. Whether your strengths lie in academics, extracurricular activities, or community involvement, we value the diverse ways in which students excel.
At FCJ College, we believe that excellence comes in many forms. This scholarship seeks to recognize students who are dedicated to their studies and actively engage in the broader life of the school and community. It’s not just about academic achievement; we’re looking for students who show enthusiasm, curiosity, and a commitment to growth, whether that's on the sports field, in the arts, through service to others, or in any other area of school life.

SCHOLARSHIP
There will be two scholarships awarded in each year level to the value of $1000 per student for the duration of one year only.
APPLICATION PROCESS
Once applications have been received, they will be shortlisted and then recommendations will be made to the Principal and the Scriven Family for the final decision.
